Chris Sutton, who won championship medals with Blackburn and Celtic, chats about his move to Blues, his long term plans and how he sees the rest of the season going. “At Blackburn, we had seasons where we struggled. It’s a different sort of challenge when you’re down the bottom of the table but all you can do is give 100% and that’s what I will do here,” he said. “I will give the best I can for Birmingham City. I’m just focused on getting Birmingham up the table and out of trouble and I will bust a gut to do that.”
Maik Taylor is equally upbeat. He says Blues haven’t done themselves justice this season but there are signs that things are coming together. “We’re all going to have to stick together to try to get the results to get us out of the relegation zone and I’m confident we can do it.”
And he added: “Each game is going to be a cup final until the end of the season and there’s going to have to be a huge effort from everyone.”
Martin Taylor talks football and gives the run-down on his toughest opponents, what he thinks of Chris Sutton, how his game has improved after a lengthy run in the first team and how he prepares to face Duncan Ferguson!
